How would you like to have assigned seats at work ?
I feel like they just want to make us more and more miserable

The purpose of it at my work was to break up perceived gossip groups who were causing problems for others. But all it achieved was to create new gossip groups, because those that do that kind of thing will do it with whoever they are with. I think if someone is causing a disruption they just need to sit them on their own or get rid of them.

@iamnikki From my own experiences, it can work out good for you if you get to sit next to someone who's better. The problem is that if you're the quiet person, the boss might decide to sit the noisy gossipy person next to you thinking that will break up the issue. The problem is that you have to deal with the person who wants to talk all day and it can affect your work and stress. Hopefully you get a good person though.
