How does an introvert survive open-workspace offices?

That is my work environment and it's draining . Wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't non-stop pointless conversation. That and having to hear how quiet I am multiple times a week. Everyone is not the same. I'm not gonna just bring up off the wall...

I'm introverted to a degree ... so what i usually do is.. I indulge them when I get in, but when I really need to work or need some me time, I plug in my music and block the rest of the room out.
That's kept me going

Perfect the "stare", look at them like they have 3 heads. Eventually they will think you are some sort of weirdo and avoid you.

My suggestion would be, if you're not answering the phone every two minutes, invest in a headset and drown out the surroundings. Also, people tend not to disturb headset wearers, it's too much effort.

Probably same way i deal with laying naked on a embalming table in a large open room that anyone can see me in...
Uncomfortable awkwardness.. out of place, exposed, and even though it’s a open room, feelings of anxiety and closterphobia and wanting to get out and away from people

Because if you're not constantly on the phone, listening to music through headphones would help you relax and drown out the nattering in the background while you do paperwork.@iamnikki

Get a little plaque made says
“we're all not the same" maybe a few of those e fuckers will take the hint. At my job on breaks and lunch I go sit in the bathroom stalls so I won't have to communicate
