How do you quit a job gracefully?
Well, not so much quit as "Not renew my contract".
I've been working a temp job (admin work in a police station) the last 7 months. The work is boring and tedious, yet doable. The pay is god awful. 80% of my work colleagues are obnoxious, racist, sexist, homophobic, or unpleasant people. Sometimes all of the above.
The person I report to is one of the worse ones. Almost entirely certain that nobody even knows that my contract is up in 11 working days. Being on the introverted side, the thought of going up to this person and saying "I won't be accepting a contract renewal this time, good luck" ain't exactly a pleasant one, though I know it must be done.
Any advice on how I should go about it?
