What's the best and fastest route to getting educated as an IT Tech?

I got offered a job in IT Tech support. I would be support for different businesses and their networks. What's the fastest way to learn this so I can be prepared to help clients trouble shoot their technology in an office environment?

@HoraceGreenley IT related: Microsoft programs, adobe premiere pro. And I worked at a call center selling airline tickets and they used a specific program for finding the cheapest airplane tickets around the world, but I don't remember what it was called.
