I'm an introvert with a team of 12 people. I give myself to my team fully and when I finally get home I'm completely spent. However, my team recognizes me as very good at what I do.

@Turtlepower Wow! Yea that language barrier must get interesting if there is one! So when you feel those tugs to retreat into your own world- what practice or tools do you use to stay dedicated ?

@Sinsane I find time during the day to tune out briefly. Also, I tend to have more individual meetings than team meetings because everyone involved in one meeting exhausts me more. One on one I can typically get more done

Of course it can be done. Entrepreneurship often tends to give you control over social situations, which actually works quite well. I am an introvert, yet I sometimes crave company and social interaction. Of course it is tiring... but in my example, being a freelance language teacher allows me to have social interaction where I am very much in control and that is very clearly limited in time. So, I get my interaction exactly the way I choose to and it's always in my control how much I want or need. If I didn't run my own business, I could never have that kind of control over what I do...
A leader is a leader. We do not give consideration to these thoughts.
