Does anyone else that works dealing with the public have this issue?

I work in retail and I find that if a customer asks me something that requires me going someplace else that they aren't when I come back I don't recall their face, clothes and sometimes what they needed in the first place. Does anyone else have this problem?

When you have a lot of customers I think that's pretty normal although they probably get all offended even though they wouldn't be able to remember in a reverse situation.
