Does anyone else that works dealing with the public have this issue?

I work in retail and I find that if a customer asks me something that requires me going someplace else that they aren't when I come back I don't recall their face, clothes and sometimes what they needed in the first place. Does anyone else have this problem?

That happened to me a lot. I figured if I was being paid the least I possibly could then it was my duty as an American to do the least I possibly could. I put in my time and got a paycheck and went home and did what I cared about.

@hunkalove customer service is a lot different in the UK luckily but it is very awkward when there's only a few customers in.
