What would you do if a coworker who never talks to you, started to?

Had this happen. I was civil and talked back but i was like " why today"

I am going through something that is so unbelievably painful I never mention it. Most days I keep to myself and try to hold it together. Once in a while I get a small relief from the pain and I try and be nice to others so they don't think I dislike them. We never know what battle others are fighting.

@curiosi yes i realize that. I have my own issues that make me shy away lots of times. I too have to force myself to talk, even to the co-workers i do like.
