Has to be professional in my line as sometimes you can get asked for them in court.
Same with any other mode of recorded data.
Some of my colleagues often forget this and it lands them in trouble if a Barrister or Solicitor wants to make capital of it.

@jellyfishman Did you know folk are getting fired if the slander the company they work for on Facebook ?

@Picklebobble2 what the heckkkkk geezzz.. @_@ why they get fired? what did they say on facebook?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@jellyfishman The company apparently used to scan Facebook and cross-reference their employees with who was friends with whom.

Which sounded more like security overkill when i first heard it.

Turns out conversations were being read and recorded by the management. They were fired for bringing the company into disrepute.

I asked how they got to know about them since none of those fired had added any of the managers as 'friends'.
they wouldn't answer how they came by that information. So clearly, either they were grassed up by somebody who already worked for the company who HAD added those guys as 'Friends'.
OR the company requested Facebook for a list of employees who had used the company name !!!

@jellyfishman And in light of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and the fact that there are STILL some folk awaiting an apology from top brass at Facebook, i would advise EVERYBODY, be very careful the details you share since you don't kow who has access to your page or your conversations or your friends list.......

@Picklebobble2 @_@ i better keep away from facebook, i guess!

@jellyfishman Ideal opportunity you'd have thought for some enterprising person to set up an alternative.
