How personal are you in business email?

i dont know how much kind and polite i should be and how much formal i should be lol. where's the balance? how do you communicate when you write emails for work?

Business emails are exactly that. Business. Polite, yes. Emotions have no place in business. From a clerk to the CEO, all correspondence should only have a business tone, even if you personally know the other person on the receiving end. And business is never personal.
