Making a living from stripping Car, etc Engines?

I want to know If I where to buy a second hand Car Engine and strip it to it's basis then sell the parts to the same place I bought it and get my money back from the engine would that work?

what I am saying is if I strip engines and give back the engine I'd get my money back and more from selling the parts. Can you make a Living off of it?
My plan is to just buy another engine after the first one there and then strip that one.
