I wouldn't mention the word unhappy, and also being open to any responsibilities could get you a lot more work that you don't enjoy. I would think of one specific thing that you think you could do well and suggest that you would be interested at the appropriate time.

@SW-User For a promotion/more pay, of course....otherwise you're just asking for more work with the same pay forever.

@smmartydude I agree!

I mean learning multiple tasks during my hours..it actually keeps you focused and involved more with the team..time goes in faster when you're motivated..watching new employees come in after you and end up doing more high-tech or mobile duties..whilst your still standing at a till point all day isnt very fun!!

@All2livefor I see what you mean, in that case yes, if you've been there longer and missing out on doing things that newer people are doing that you'd like to be doing, then it's definitely worth asking.

@All2livefor Learn more tasks, yes....but have your resume up to date then, because this company will never advance you beyond where you are now, no matter what you do. Trust me, I've been there....learn your new skills and use them to market yourself elsewhere where they will be willing to give you a higher paying, more prominent position.
