I do stand up comedy and trying to be a more positive kind person has really hampered my ability to write new material over the last few months.

@Whys0serious I'm actually really interested in comedy from an intellectual perspective, so I listen to lots of comedians, and interviews with them. There seems to be a pretty universal consensus that comedians are, as bill Burr says, "not healthy people."

@SW-User Yeah, to see humour in every situation takes years of damage and an unnatural need to be liked. At some point the “sense” of humour becomes more of a disorder of humour 😅.

@Whys0serious I understand. I think being happy and healthy is probably preferred though.
Think of it this way: There's enough fucked up things in this world to write comedy about. One of them doesn't have to be you.
