At work should you text someone before calling to see if they're free?

My company gives cell phones to all the managers that are intended to be used only for business. Most people have two cell phones - one for personal reasons and one for work :)

If it's business related then fine but if it's personal, no..there is no room for mobiles in the workplace as people take advantage and slack..

No when I had my company it mobiles were not an issue but I see it now all the time..
