Freelance at college. That’s what I did, but not while working full time, unless you take on the odd job. I was in a design studio for four years before I switched careers and you never know how much time you’ll have to set aside at the beginning. It can be hard going and clients can really be difficult. Try it, learn from experiences and make mistakes, though. I’d always say it’s never a good idea to listen to everyone, because you might be able to manage it fine. Just be prepared to get very little sleep!
