Do you put family first? If so - how and why?

I block time on my calendar to spend time with my family, don't bring phone on family outings, have a designated time to go home. I work hard but ultimately family comes first. Reason - I did a comparison at the extremes. Losing a child is worse than losing a job.

yes, family is the most important thing, i always look forward to spending time with them, they are moments i will always treasure :) i think you have to make time for the important things in life, like spending time with the ones you love and i always make sure i make the time to. :)

Totally agree. I've lost jobs, quit jobs, taken days off jobs, but never would risk losing a kid, or walking away from family. I am a mom, first, last and all times in between.

@Bbcjsv Yes I basically lived my life for my family but I decided most recently that I need to live my life for me so I'm going to do what I want to do but still stay in touch with my family.
