Are you allowed to have personal items on your desk or work table or workspace?

At my work the security is very high. You can have an ipod for listening to music and a photo of your partner or family if you have one, that's all.

@Cindy That sounds like my work. We have to put cell phones in lockers too mainly as they have cameras in them.

@SW-User I used to work at jobs like that and I understand because the warehouse I used to work at we had to go through airport metal detectors just to get inside and leave with security guards but I'm talking about a simple Dental Lab

All companies are different, some have policies that you need to check into.. Ask your manager..
