hi GalacticJourney
Soldier - member of the military. There was a military cadet force at my school which I refused to join. So I was put in the chess club which was a face saving solution for the school. I lost every game. Later I played competitive chess and won every game I played.
Best wishes

This question made me think. The school I went age 11 had honour rolls on the walls of all the boys killed in WW1. They were endless!
