Unskilled workers should also be paid a liveable wage

They work for these huge corporations for example restaurants or major retail chains. These companies can afford it. Nobody should have to be broke and struggling to make ends meet. One job should be enough. And for Christs sake servers should make a proper wage instead of having to rely on tips to survive. Some parts of US culture are really screwed up. Paying someone inadequately for work is literal wage slavery and should be illegal. The federal minimum wage if I am not mistaken is about $7.25 tell me who can live on that? It’s pocket change. And no one should have to work 50-60 hours per week or more just to survive. And for Christs sake proper meal breaks are important too. I feel the US as a whole is more live to work instead of work to live. For an industrialized and highly developed country we sure lag on workers rights. And yes I am aware there are other countries with workaholic tendencies and we shouldn’t emulate them.

I agree with you on this 100%. US wages are absolutely terrible overall and these mega corporations can well afford to pay their workers much better. They just don't want to because they don't care about their employees at all. They want to maximize their profits by paying as little as possible that people will work for

Most people in the US are working 2 to 3 jobs just to make ends meet which amounts to 60 - 80 hours weekly. That amount of work hours is absolutely ridiculous and insane. We live at work and visit our house 😕

@SouthernGuy1987 American workers also have less rights than those in other developed countries.
