They get raises that helps us too. Bringing up the floor on these jobs improved life got every working person.
Striking workers are people like us using their best leverage to negotiate good conditions. Negotiating alone is always a bad idea.

@Moneyonmymind These are entry-level jobs and bring up the floor, right.
If you can make a decent living at Starbucks or an Amazon fulfillment centre, then other jobs need to step up to compete against those salaries and working conditions. This then moves into higher paid jobs so you don't go "I can make more at Starbucks than here" in some office job.
If you look at average wage vs CEO pay over the past forty years one line is flat, the other goes up. Low unionization is one of the big reasons. Its our best way to increase average salaries because politicians won't do it fo rus.
