Was this a bad attitude?

My manager called out that some customers needed help. I told them I'd be right with them. My supervisor was eating a sandwich and talking to someone walking by so I told the manager, "I guess [supervisor]'s busy so I'll help them."

Was that wrong of me to say?

Tone matters, it could be misinterpretted but i dont think you intended it to be that.

But the potential is there.
