HR is not your friend! They exist to stop you from suing the company.

So if a coworker or manager is creating a toxic work environment, use it as leverage with HR to get yourself promoted. It works like a charm.

Or as in my own personal experience, they'll take the department of complainers and just outsource their jobs overseas to people who won't complain [but also will do a shit job at it but hey, they'll work for next to nothing 🫤🙄]
