i had an interviewer ask me how many miles I would consider driving in a week. I turned down the job.
What made it wierd it is that they wanted the person they hired to cover a 5 state radius as an Account Manager by driving to various resellers --thousands of miles a weak but did not offer a company car.
The pay wasn't bad but the idea that they wanted me to have to buy a new car every single year (because of the wear and tear that many miles would put on it) made it a odd question.
On a sidenote I realized I wasn't going take thei job when they said no to the company car so I messed with SVP of sales for the rest of the interview.
For instance I asked him what the lowest percent to goal for quota achievement I could attain on a quarterly basis and still keep this job. I landed a way cooler job like 5 days later (offer letter) without much travel.
