Damn. I'm at a crossroads now between jobs.

I have the chance to using my trade again with a dealership, which may or may not suck. It would be my third attempt to get in with something decent that's not going to yank my chain. Unfortunately, Hyundai let me down big time and it's a surprise that the location I was at has any technicians for how much they get screwed over on the daily. Surprised they have business at all for it being disorganized and aspects that are outdated. I could take my chances again with now Chevrolet, which I've worked for before but not at this other location. Their recruiters really want to snatch me up.

Normally, I'd go all in for it. But now I'm considering working an entry-level mind numbing job that has more flexibility so I can go back to college for engineering degrees (yes, it's plural). With those degrees, I could work with cutting edge technology and even create something new by exploring different avenues of applying this tech. Endless research and work. Never having to be bored and bothered by not having any work to make a living ( let's get real. Flag hours is just a way for dealerships to pay you less than having a steady income at a decent rate). So, I declined that offer in my mind, though I haven't officially told the recruiter no yet. I hope I'm making the right decision in pursuit of my own happiness but that will be determined by my own discipline, I think.
