well really nowadays you need to make like a 100k to go it alone and do it nicely, but it all really depends on alot of factors. some can get by on less

@Tryingtofindabalance well, id hope my kids owuld make at least 50k thatsabout what you really need ot live somewhat comfortably. as far as what i want to make, i am happy enough with my life. i dont need a lot of money to be happy. as long as i have a decent roof over my head, a car and food and some spending money i am happy. but i am old and well travelled. if i was young id try to make more so i could travel.
