Mother Coworker 01/14/23

My mother got a phone call during dinner an employee of hers was crying. She left to work which is up the street where we lived. She brought her back to our home fed her some food and got her a drink. Her father picked her up to head back where she lived. The woman has a disability. She is deaf. She was crying because an employee was yelling angrily at her. She couldn’t under stand her because the other coworker was not taking off mask to allow her to lip read to understand her. Her workplace got rid of the clear mask which would allow no barrier for communication. I can relate to this woman. I have a disability. I am hard of hearing. All the workplaces I’ve worked at always were difficult with me and couldn’t accommodate. Everyone deserves to be respected and be safe in workplace. I hope the future is better.
