Job Dilemma Part 2
Story of Job Dilemma 2:
One parent called the job phone and I answered while also stating to myself that yes I called for the child already. The mother which is deaf.....thought that I was talking to her so she took offense and basically took what I said out of proportion and was just rambling/yelling over the phone....mind you the mother was sitting across from me. I was telling her over the phone that I was sitting right across from her and I was also waving my hand to her to call her attention. So since I realized she wasn't paying me no mind and rambling over the phone I just left her alone and continued my job. I wanted to cater to her to apologize and explain to her my part but she was yelling and other parents were waiting for their child to be called over the walkie....the woman was spelling out her name and saying something about her child must not be there with us she is missing etc etc and I was saying the hallways are long and some staff don't have walkie talkies. So I ignored her and she mentioned how I pulled down my mask....I ignored her again and continued my job by signing out the kids through the phone on a app that phone is also the same phone that parents call.My friend brought it up to my attention that the mom probably brought up how I pulled down my mask because she saw it as a threat....like how women take off their jewelry before a fight....but I was sitting down calmly doing my job and there was fibers from my mask sticking to my lip plus I was seated...but I didn't respond to mother.
So what should I do?
I was thinking about apologizing to the mom in person but she might take offense to the littlest things while I am waving a white flag and she might take a long time to say what she has to say while I am also trying to sign the kids out and answer phone calls all in one phone smdh.
