Mostly true, except some not for profits do give generous pay raises. I worked for one who bought the company I was working for, and I got two raises over three years that amounted to 30k, plus increases in benefits.
@Ontheroad some companies are very generous but most watch their bottom lines very closely. They don’t go around giving money away out of the goodness of their hearts…
