You own a company, and have 200 employees. Most have been there for 10, 15, 20 years, some have been there for 25 to 30 years. Then you have employees who have been there for 5 to 8 years. Generally, people are nice to each other, but you have instances where some people might not have great attendance, or some people might not be the best at every job, or some people might be late 2 or 3 times a week, or some people might call off every monday and/or fridays.

Do you let go the people who are late, or who call off every monday/friday, or do you keep them because they are nice?

I don’t keep them just because they are nice they still need to respect company’s rules.I will make all of them scan their faces two times a day according to their work schedule on that day, time in and time out…because it is really not fair to those that have to work extra to cover for those late or not coming at all,etc Those not good at work or new I will send them for short one day course to upgrade once in awhile and to encourage them to stay long I will raise their pay after a year plus😅 you need to train new people if you are worried about some more experienced ones threatening to leave or you need to know all levels of your business e.g I know this is lame example but easier to think of lol like your main chef wants to quit well, you can cook so you will be the chef till you have someone 🤣
