Tonight was my first night as a grubhub driver. I made $36.63. Not bad

Oh yeah on my first delivery I tripped and fell over a curb and hurt my knee. Hope nobody saw me eat shit.

Also got harassed by a doordash driver at taco bell over me having a grubhub bag. I ignored him the first time when he asked why I have a bag. The 2nd.time he asked I said because it keeps the food warmer longer and I wanted a bag. He wouldn't shut up

Now make a total of both what you made as well as ALL your expenses. Just to see how much you really made.

On the expense end include EVERYTHING like:

Insurance
Registration
Taxes and fees
Gas

All repairs
Tires
Oil changes
Tune ups
Other automotive repairs

Other things necessary like
Cellphone
Cell service.
Work Clothes
Food during working hours.

You do this because you basically are your own boss and running a business of sorts.

@DeWayfarer That's a good idea I'll have to create some sort of log book
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@SW-User exactly! And keep that log as well for income tax! You need to prove it with receipts!

@SW-User oh it really depends on how much you actually make.

The point here is to see if this is really worth it in the long run. And I don't believe it is! 🤷‍♂️

@SW-User I actually believe the whole private transportation is a flawed business scam! 🤷‍♂️
