I am scared to get this

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a very severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It causes a range of emotional and physical symptoms every month during the week or two before your period. It is sometimes referred to as 'severe PMS'.PMDD occurs during the luteal phase of your menstrual cycle. This is the time between when you ovulate and when your period starts. The luteal phase lasts approximately two weeks for most people but can be longer or shorter.
During this time you may experience PMDD symptoms every day, or for a few days within the phase. The NHS website has more information on the stages of the menstrual cycle and when they occur.

Many of us may experience symptoms of PMS. But if you have PMDD, these symptoms are much worse and can have a serious impact on your life. Experiencing PMDD can make it difficult to work, socialise and have healthy relationships. In some cases, it can also lead to suicidal thoughts.

I do feel sorry for anyone that must suffer because she is a woman. Be it PMS, PMDD or simply the recurring period pain is a physical handicap that many people are not aware of or are not interesting in being informed about.

I am in the very fortunate situation that my period pain is manageable and that it is a mere inconvenience when it occurs.

Another potential debilitating pain is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which are afflicting a number of women and that may cause them not to be able to procreate.

@Femme And that is important that we support each other and spread the news about the all the issues that the female body is subjected to and that is taken for granted, mostly by men because they tend to see us more as an object to fulfill their desires but fail to realize that in order to achieve that, it takes a toll on us.
