How busty are you and when did t all start?
How did you manage it all?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
74 inches; age 11; and I'm still working at managing it--some days are better than others.
Wow. What is it one needs to know about a woman with macromastia?
How do you keep active?
Are there any precautions, things to keep vigilant about?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
@indelibleguy: Well, we are basically like other women. It's just that our hormones are out of whack. Activity is difficult. I get my best exercise in a pool. Precautions: make a vain attempt to locate my feet, particularly when coming down stairs.
@veeceekay1991: That's one intense search for your feet. Lol
Good to know about pool activity, etc.
Like other women, just far more decadent? :)
Just how out of whack are those hormones? Anything to be weary of?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
Decadent? No, I am very conservative. You can ask my friends on here (if you can find them). I guess you could say that my hormones are 74 inches out of whack and, yes, I get very weary of them, especially after a long day at work.
Yes decadent. A woman who being exceptionally busty and holds herself well is impressive.
Ask your friends about being conservative? Hmmm??
Over and above that, I know that there are different after effects of macromastia.
So I'm interested to know how the hormones are out of whack aside from the 74 inches?
What else happens besides being busty?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
Why would you assume that I am decadent just because I am busty and on SW? If you read my "About Me" blurb, you will see my primary objective in being here. There are other symptoms of macromastia, not after effects: frequent and spontaneous lactation, mood shifts, increased size of clitoris and/or labia. Not all macro women exhibit all of these. Before you ask a lot of questions, please read through this thread and see if I have already answered them. Thanks! :-)
@veeceekay1991: Those symptoms I have heard before.
Have you had to deal with sponanteous lactating? If so, is it intermittent or constant?
The rest of those symptoms I have not heard before. But I'm always keen to know more.

"Okay, here I am! Fire away!" is how this board is defined.
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
I have intermittent lactation, but I have friends who have to pump 2-3 times daily.
@veeceekay1991: That would obviously be both frustrating and an amazing experience I'm sure.
Have you ever found out how lactation is triggered?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
@indelibleguy: Think of macromastia as pregnancy without a baby and it kind of makes sense. The imbalanced hormones tell the mammary glands to begin producing milk in anticipation of nursing. Once the woman feels full she must expel the milk to release the pressure and discomfort. But, just as if she WAS nursing, the emptied breasts think they must fill again for the next nursing. So, the vicious circle is initiated and continues. Some women take medication to dry up their milk production but I don't think that always works well.

@veeceekay1991: Do you enjoy the feeling when you expell your milk?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
It is a very sensual experience. Even nursing moms get pleasure out of it once they start.
@veeceekay1991: Oh I have heard that about the experience being sensual. Hence where things like ANR come in.

I take it you have had the experience(s)? :)
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
Yes
@veeceekay1991: Kudos. That's also detail I'm keen to know more about. See... decadence. :)
Would that experience be something you might continue?

You may not be able to see your shoes standing up, but you have benefits in your experience(s). Lol
TYEBOE · 70-79, M
@veeceekay1991: Are you still in an ANR relationship?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
I want to correct what I believe is a basic misunderstanding here. I thought indelibleguy was asking me if I derived pleasure from expelling milk. The answer is "yes." I believe that all women derive some erotic sensation from expelling milk from their breasts. HOWEVER, I am NOT and NEVER HAVE been in an ANR relationship. What consenting adults do in the privacy of their homes is their business-I firmly believe that. BUT, I am of the conviction that mother's milk is made for the nutrition of an infant NOT for the pleasure of a mature adult. I want everyone to be clear on that point!

Do you hand express or pump? Ever thought of donating your milk to a hospital?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
I lactate very irregularly and up till now I've been able to hand express. If that were to change, I would certainly consider donating.
@veeceekay1991: That's impressive. But never the less something to admire.
Would you consider lactating long term?
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
@indelibleguy: what do you mean by "lactating long term?"
@veeceekay1991: You lactate irregularly. Would you pump and express to continue lactating long term?
doodlebug2013 · 41-45, F
I'm piping up now that I've seen this here. I'm a mom, and this condition struck me when I was pregnant. Because there was no telling how my body would react when the time came I went on bromocriptine to stop my milk from coming in and keep lactation from happening almost immediately after birth, so I never had anything more than colostrum toward the end of my pregnancy. I had a lot of problems with nausea when I was on it but it did its job. I'm glad I decided to go that route and glad it worked because since then scans have shown that my breasts have more alveoli in them than what's considered normal plus those are larger than what's normal. If that got started it probably would have been very difficult to manage at best.
I can only speak for myself, but I think anybody else would probably say something a lot like this too. I have things I want to do and personal and professional goals that would be a lot harder to reach if I had to take a bunch of time out every few hours to pump or express. I don't see how that would be a good situation or something to try make happen or extend if it did.
@doodlebug2013: I thought it would be very typical for a Mom to want to breast feed after birth, but alas.
However, by the sound of things, you would have a great deal of milk and could interfere with your daily life.
Obviously a personal choice. Good to know. :)
