Twenty years since the 7/7 bombings.

I had to walk the same route the following week at exactly the same time. Tavistock Square to Russel Square in central London. A friend of mine died in the blast. He was 38.

Im sorry.

Was a weird day. Was meant to get my degree results and have a party afterwards. We got told not to go. My friend lived off Russell Square. He couldn't leave his flat. Couldn't really tell what was going on. Police didnt give much information. We just pieced it together through news reels and emails and texts.

Oddly enough, we were more affected by the shooting at Stockwell. I worked in a shop across from a south London, Northern Line station. For weeks after 7/7 and then the shooting, everyone was on edge. Even the customers.

@V00doo I did not enjoy travelling up to London the following week.

Seeing the flowers did not help

The extracts of the service of remembrance that I've seen from St Paul's are very moving.
Very sorry for your loss. Just watched an interesting/sad docuseries about it on Netflix.

I remember it so well and where exactly i was as i was when i heard the news, on holiday in a small hotel in France. Horrifying. A typical cowardly and despicable terrorist attack which achieved nothing.

There’s currently a documentary on Netflix about the London 💣
