My brother worked a few blocks from the World Trade Center and was in the New Jersey Meadowlands area where he pulled over to the side of the road to make a sales call. He looked back at NYC before the call and saw the twin towers. He finished the call, then looked again to toward the City.
One of the towers was gone.
