This YouTuber has some great analysis of the incident…

Gray Hughes Investigates - “You can see the gun!”

I’m impressed with the level of investigation and the breakdown of the video footage.

Now I’m curious about how the scope of the rifle was affected by the potential reinstallation after transport if he did in fact transport the rifle in his pants.
Apparently you will lose your zero if you remove the scope from your rifle, though the degree of shift can vary. Unless you use high-end, specialized mounts designed for repeatability, some change in the point of impact is almost guaranteed.

Could this account for the accuracy of the shot hitting Charlie Kirk in the neck when the likely point of aim was the T-box? The bullet drift down and to the right is another possibility for the shot hitting the neck of Charlie Kirk. I’m not a distance shooting specialist but I think the center mass would’ve been a lot easier to hit but perhaps the headshot was preferred by the shooter? Thoughts ?

@YoMomma very true. We don’t know one way or the other for certain. It’s definitely a good thing that people are paying attention I believe but it doesn’t help to spread misinformation or crazy conspiracy theories. I’m just incredibly bored and I’ve always been a curious person so this has given me something to do this weekend. 🤓 I don’t think I’ll be following this case closely for the entirety of its existence because that’s just not my style. And I think it’s a sad tragedy all the way around. I hope the younger (and older) generations learn from this and realize that it’s ok to disagree. However killing someone for their beliefs is so insensitive and not helpful. It would be far better if Tyler and his roommate just started their own political speaking organization maybe call it Counterpoint of America and engage people like Charlie did. Maybe even engage Charlie in a debate based speaking event tour. Almost anything would have been better than killing a father of 2. I don’t agree with either side whatsoever when it comes to politics but I do agree that gun violence should never be the option.

@RunTheJulz i never followed any of it or them but my hub watches fox news every day.. i don't think kirk has any regrets.. he did what he loved and he was inspirational, i don't follow him enough to agree or disagree with whatever he said but in general he stood for christian values and family and our country.. and a lot of people hate that these day.. and it’s wrong of them.. i mostly feel sorry for the shooter because he made a mistake.. he is just too misguided to see it.. as is a lot of people these days.. hence charlie kirk’s whole mission to reason with them.. i don't tho because i think they are unreasonable but he changed lives for the better and he still will even tho he is physically gone.. his words and mission remains and is only bigger because of the conflict.. tho i’m sure his wife would have rather have him back.. it was what he lived for in the end.. so mission accomplished

@YoMomma I fully agree with you. It’s wrong to hate and judge someone based on their belief in a particular religion and it’s sad that people are so hateful these days that they use just about anything as justification for non acceptance.
I think Charlie Kirks work will continue to inspire people young and old and I know that it’s more than just the power of martyrdom. He was not someone that I was familiar with before this. I think more people will learn about him now and that only helps to further his message. It’s just so unfortunate and sad for his family. His children won’t get to grow up with him and his guidance. That and like you said about Tyler being unaware of his actions and all that he threw away with his actions are the biggest tragedies of all in this in my opinion.
He’s so young. His brain has yet to fully form and that’s evident from his decision making. Now matter how dedicated he may be to his roommate he threw his entire life away by taking this route. Super sad and tragic.

@RunTheJulz yeah but i think that’s the whole point is a lot of young people are being misguided and wasting their life..

But we will see what happens now.. sigh
RunTheJulz · 46-50, F
@YoMomma Sadly it appears that most young people are lost and forgotten and the loss of Charlie is even more tragic because he was focused on them when so many other people are not.
I hope there are people who will take up the challenge of finding young people and talking with them genuinely.
YoMomma ·
@RunTheJulz i think a lot of people are more focused on it now and more resolved to do more good, i didn't even know of him before his death and yet he inspired me to do more good and be more seriously devout

@YoMomma Then you are a positive effect of his efforts. Happy for you for sure. ☺😊

@RunTheJulz yeah thanks ☺ see if it holds (my resolve to do go) but so far it seems that way.. he just makes things real you know? He stood for God’s word and God’s word doesn't return void ☺
