@kodiac Yes, and this is true of many countries. People seem to like to think that they live in uniquely violent times but it just is not true. What is different compared to, say sixty years ago when I was a child, is that we see and hear of violence from everywhere instead of just the few boring incidents from our immediate surroundings. This gives us the impression that there is much more violence than there really is.
