The father of GA high school shooter has been arrested; faces charges

The father of the mass shooting suspect accused of killing four people at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, told investigators this week he had purchased the gun used in the killings as a holiday present for his son in December 2023, according to two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation.

Who buys an assault rifle for their under age child who had previously been investigated for posting school shooting threats? This is like the Crumbley case all over again.

As he should be charged. Instead of supporting his son through the hard times he was having he bought him an assault rifle.

He belongs in prison for the rest of his life.
@iamonfire696 The Crumbleys got 10 years. Their son got life without parole.

We’ll see what the facts were as his trial approaches. But it seems pretty clear at this point that somewhere along the way, there should have been a diversion.

Also, the dad and the shooter moved after he completed the 8th grade. At this point it’s unclear whether there was a handoff from the old school to the new one. There certainly should have been as the Jr High was taking active steps to monitor him for violence.

@KunsanVeteran He was going to a new school but was it with his peers from his former school?

This is just so sad but the worst part is that this is just going to happen again, over and over.

I live in Canada and I feel completely safe sending my two kids to school. I would t feel the same living in the USA.
