Hate to tell you

Hate to tell you Mr Jacob. Your state has actually some of the tightest gun control restrictions in the country along with California or again Washington DC and a few others. But yet your states are the ones with the most shooting incidents. So what that tells me is control measures and elimination does not work. That just takes them away from the law abiding gun owner that would legally purchase them. That does not stop the flow of illegal or black market weapons stop Maniacs from going to gun free zones and hurting people so using this as an incident to beat the drum to put restrictions on the rest of us is a bunch of leftist crap and does not protect anyone

Here's the thing.... a person can buy a weapon legally making all the checks but they can then sell the gun on in a private sale to absolutely anyone without knowing if that person has a criminal past or if they are mentally incapacitated

@BabyLonia actually it is because legally a private citizen cannot call law enforcement and run a background check on anyone and the ATF would require them to keep records and pay filing fees. As well as applicable taxes as a licensed gun dealer

@BabyLonia retailers are required to hold at least 5 years of form 4473 and each has a $35 filing fee and they have to pay taxes on those sales as well

@BabyLonia Also let's say my grandparents passed away or my father does to hand down an heirloom firearm or something that has been in the family why should we pay hundreds of dollars to do so
