Second amendment gouging.

This battle implement should not cost more than $300, instead greedy manufacturers charge almost $2,000. The founding fathers are rolling in their graves that price gougers are keeping American Citizens from being able to afford exercising their second amendment rights. No rifle or shotgun should cost more than a week's pay at minimum wage, nor any handgun more than half a week's pay, as well as no ammunition cartridge should cost more than five cents apiece per round. It is a shame that the NRA doesn't stand up to manufacturer and firearms dealer greed, instead they encourage it...

Im glad we dont have those in our country though
@Captain Why not? They would help protect your girls and young women from the grooming gangs that target them.

@NativePortlander1970 But would it. Don't grooming gangs just pick on the poor and weak ? I would have thought arming them would have made things 10 times worse.
@Captain Yes, they would, and yes they do, there is a reason why the pistol is called the equilizer, they're able to protect a 100 pound woman from a 200+ pound man focused to harm her.

@NativePortlander1970 But most people in this country do not carry guns and I htink that is a good thing. Sorry but I don't buy it. Gangs dont shoot innocent people because they know the boys in blue ill be after them, they probably do use voiloance and drug addiction but guns and even knives are still things out police reaxt to.

@Captain "Even" knives? About the only advantage a knife has over a gun is the lower risk of killing or injuring someone else, who merely happens to be in the same street at the sdame time.

I don't fully understand why but the Police and acadmeics who have investigated crime statistics have found that carrying a knife is more likely to lead to the carrier being attacked, so it's hardly the "protection" commonly used as a cowardly excuse for it. I suppose what happens is that a) such people are likely to be in with all the wrong types anyway, and b) word get's around that "Fred's go' a knife so let's kill 'im".
