Do you carry a weapon for self defense, if so, what?

No. Despite loving and growing up where I do, I've never felt the need to. I've never felt unsafe here and when we go out, I'm pretty sure at some point I taught most of the kids I see.

I never go anywhere without a knife. As for a gun, only if I am somewhere permitted by law.

If I were to carry a weapon, it would likely be a bat or a walking stick. Perhaps it harkens back to my Irish ancestry.

I rely primarily on my wits to avoid the need for a weapon.

Glocks are shit, the only reason why they are popular is because the NYPD started using them over their heavier trigger configuration 30 years ago. During the Army sidearm trials back in the mid 80's, those who were conducting the tests wouldn't even pass the gun past phase one and highly criticized it. If the NYPD had gone with the Beretta instead, Glock would have folded under and we would have never heard of them in the civilian world.

At night in certain neighborhoods I carry a knife and a stun gun.
