I keep seeing posts

Saying trump has declared war on Venezuela, but there is literally nothing to back this up.

He has restricted air space for Americans to travel through. That's all.

Yes, that is normally the signal, but it hasn't been given yet.

He's holding till his people tell him.

Then he'll fire the head of the military to install someone who is a complete incompetent hack who will carry out all his orders, regardless of legality.

Just wait. War is coming, but don't jump the gun yet.

He will declare war when he receives word that the Epstein files are imminent. Then their release will be quietly buried in a shock-and-awe campaign against Venezuela.

Watch the film Wag the Dog. This is literally the playbook that Trump is copying.

@G7J2O Well, the full release is to take place Dec 19th. (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/29/epstein-files-release-consequences)

So this seems a bit early. Especially since there has been a legal request to block victims' names from the release, which will delay it.

I agree he is performing Wag the Dog in real time, but, this all seems pretty premature. If he declares war now, we will have had time to digest it and still be cognizant of the file release. Though, he could pick that time for major military actions, in hopes to cover up the release.

I just don't see that as a smart move on his part. Not that he's smart, but as a strategy goes, seems pretty transparent to those paying attention.

@FoxyGoddess You're right. So I reckon another couple of weeks. But it will be very coincidentally timed.

Yay! Early Christmas present!

Never mind that it's going to be the heavily redacted version that only has Democrats on the list. 🙄

@ItsMeMorgue Idk, to be honest. It's a congressional release and he has been loosing support among the GOP. Since he said release them, and his entire party voted for, except for one psychophant, I'm gonna say they just might release a version where the only redactions are the victims's names, but time will tell.
