@Adstar I think the thermonuclear club is that small group listed at the top. At least those are the only nations known to have tested H bombs. And apparently their seismic signature is recognizable.
The tech for a regular fission bomb is pretty well known (I learned the basic theory in an undergrad physics class). But a Fusion bomb is apparently contains a brilliantly clever trick that was invented at Los Alamos, stolen and given to Russia, and stolen from Russia by China.
