IDF soldiers have failed to capture a single village in South Lebanon
Not true.
Perhaps you should have read the cease fire agreement. It allows Israel a period of 60 days to withdraw from the territory it occupied, up the Litani river.
Why do you think that clause is there?
Reality: the IDF remains in multiple towns in Lebanon.

@Jokersswild ever been to that “wilderness” area?
Jokersswild · 22-25
@Northwest I haven't and I'm not familiar with the geography there. There may be some small settlements in the area; the map doesn't show any major towns. The main focus of the war and resistance has shifted to Syria, and Hezbollah will likely need to deploy troops there if they're smart. If Syria goes Sunni Jihadist. Hezbollah is finished. They do not produce any missiles; all of it comes in through the Syrian corridor.

There may be some settlements there? 🤣😂😭
You might be on to something. In fact, the Romans caught on to it as well, and before them several empires.
And would you believe it? the area has been inhabited for over 4,000 years and today, it's a thriving modern civilization with hundreds of thousands of inhabitants, freeways, buildings, cafes, and get this: Internet.
You really have no clue.
The reason they have an Islamist movement, is because the Assad family has been ruling Syria for 55 years, as a brutal and murderous dictatorship.
The area may not a buffer, as Assad is rooted out, but enough is enough.
