I read the Chronicles and The Black Wing novel, back when I got into AD&D. Nobody wanted to DM Dragonlance, and I was deadset on running Ravenloft for the gaming group I was in. But, I thoroughly enjoyed reading those novels.

@Levenrack I've DM'ed an Age of Mortals campaign through 3 books from start to finish with three friends in the late 2000s. I rarely have any friends with patience for DnD, now I've just been playing a campaign I load into Gemini and I play on my own when I am bored.

@ValcoreSylvestra Yeah, I moved away from my friends across the state, got married, and had kids.

I attempted to run 5E a couple of years ago with a small coworking group, but you know, life happens and couldn't get everyone to commit. It was monthly too.....

I even got my daughter to try it. It was fun while it lasted. I did try Roll20 for a few sessions, but it just didn't feel fun.

One of these days I'll give it a go again, playing or DMing.
