It all started with an 18x18 grid of hoppers leading into one chest.
Then I covered that with farmland and some strategically placed water to hydrate the entire square.
Add some composters on top of the water and some light on top, plant some wheat, build some walls around it, add four villagers to harvest and replant the crops, add a roof and some decoration, and voila:
All the wheat and seeds they harvest and can't carry, are dropped onto the ground, and as farmland is slightly lower than a full block, the hoppers can pick them up. It's a simple build, but because of the rather large size, it took most of today.
