I would agree with your friend, but then we'd both be wrong.
This generation Xbox is owning PS and Nintendo. The Switch is still outselling both platforms, but Xbox gives people more for their money, with Game Pass (another idea Sony stole from them).
Physically the Xbox Series X is smaller and better looking than the PS5. It also has a far better controller (tested). The option to get the Series S is a great idea, for those who don't want to have a disc drive. Oh also the controllers aren't suffering with stick drift, unlike the competition.

@Thexboxoneguy1991 Xbox One was a bit crap, but it was still better than the PS4 - believe me, developing for the Xbox is so much better! The crap Sony make you jump through to get something to work on their machines is pathetic.

@Thexboxoneguy1991 Let's also not forget that the Xbox One X was the only console of that generation to output true 4K gaming, whereas the PS4 could only do upscaled 1080p.

@Thexboxoneguy1991 I'm sure they look fine in 1080p, but when the XBO-X ran the same games at 4K, it was laughable what Sony couldn't do.
Again, the chip was only more powerful than the bog standard Xbox One, when it came to the Xbox One X, it was far better than the PS4 Pro.
