ishm2 beat me to it, but they are right.

a decent gaming pc can cost you about the same as a console, and there are methods you can use to get the best possible stuff for the lowest possible drain on your funds.

for example a pc is very upgradable. you can invest in a decent cpu and main board with everything else being cheaper parts. then later you can buy better replacements for the parts you started with and improve your machine's performance when you can better afford it.

You also don't need the latest and best parts. the core parts of my machine were not the best when i got them and that was 7 years ago. and it still runs great maxing out most things :)

@HannibalMontanimal it's easy.
all the parts have specific shaped plugs and it's very hard to put something in the wrong way. and there are many tutorials on the web.

There are really only 7 main things you need. CPU / Main Board / GPU / RAM / Hard Drive / case with fans / & keyboard with mouse. And after it's built you need to install the operating system and that is an easy step by step process that mostly handles itself.
The hardest thing is finding the parts you want as there are many different kinds, but that takes some research which costs you a little of your time.

@DylanGuy Yeah I think I rather just go with a pre built PC. I never built a PC before in my whole life so I would probably mess it up somewhere along the way. I just need to save some money because I'm very much in debt with all the money I've been spending

Can relate with the money stuff.

pre builds are an option, but do some research and make sure you are getting a decent machine for what you pay for. some companies like to charge a hefty markup.

I would still suggest looking into building your own machine as it is a great learning experience and makes installing later upgrades easier.
and once built you have a finished machine, it's no more maintenance heavy than a pre build.
