I Am a Girl Gamer

I didn't really think about the phrase "Girl Gamer" too much until I started to write this story. And I really don't like it. Yes I'm a girl, and yes I'm a gamer, but that doesn't make me some special different type of gamer just because I'm a girl. Gender should have no bearing on how, why, or whether you play games. I only really keep this group on my profile so I can rant about this stuff.

@Mahjack I've slept on it now and I'm just gonna finish by saying how exactly can you prove whether someone's a guy or a girl on a game? Not to mention there's no way to tell on a singleplayer game like Fallout. I gues I'll just find comfort in the idea that sometime soon, people will understand just how misogynistic the phrase "girl gamer" is and that gender doesn't matter. My whole point is that gender does't matter.
