I Love Final Fantasy Games
To date, I have played and beaten Final Fantasy 4 (Released as 2 in the US), 6 (3 in the US), 7, 9, and 10. Working on 8. Just past disc 2.
Seven is really good, but I think it undermines the value of the other games Square made. Yeah, I said it. Bring it.
Music is awesome in all the games. I've got the original sound track to all the games I played, except 4 and 9. Battle and Boss battle themes make good workout music.
It's tought to pick a favorite game. Each storyline brought forth it's own unique world and theme to follow. Six brought a nihilistic world after its antagonist destroyed it. Nine covered the theme of identity in its characters and how ones actions are defined by such. Ten involved an existential cycle in the form of a creature which the protagonists sought end. Seven brought insight to an introverts being and past. Four had a knight in his life after denouncing his loyalty to a corrupt kingdom which was once peaceful. You really get a feel for all the characters involved during a play through. I never felt they became repetitive in subsequent games.
Looks like the new one (15 or a number close) is gonna look more like Kingdom Hearts combat system wise. Not a bad thing, but I don't mind the good old fashion Active Time Battle System in the older games.
