Homebrew, or by the book?

Our campaign has been very, very homebrew. I'm curious how you DM's or players usually have your sessions run? Also, what editions do you roll with?? We tend to lean more toward 3.5 in our sessions.

Disclaimer: I'm a PC in mine but will be running as a DM with my group in the near future.
